PvP: Prove Your Worth

Test your skills against other SOMO trainers in intense PvP battles. Climb the ranks, earn rewards, and prove yourself as the ultimate SOMO trainer. With matchmaking based on skill and a variety of tournament formats, there's always a new challenge awaiting you.

PvP battles occur simultaneously between Players. Players who have registered an active Battle Squad are automatically entered into random matchmaking within the game.

Player skill score will be based on an algorithm taking into account the players SOMO squad results versus other Players (similar to the ELO score in Chess). Matchmaking will be made on this skill score basis and Battles can be fought either on an automatic or manual basis. There are a few different PvP game modes:

Ladder

Ladder games will be the primary Play-to-Earn mechanism in the SOMO universe and takes into account the Collection, Evolution, and Progression of the SOMOs of players as well as strategic planning.

Players will have limited chances to enter Ladder games each day, which can be increased by staking SOMO NFTs. Each player can set a Ladder Squad from the SOMO characters they own. The progression of those SOMO characters will be fully effective for the Ladder Squad.

All Players will be categorized into several Leagues based on thresholds of Ladder Scores. All Players begin with 0 Ladder points. There are seasons for the Ladder games which will last 4 weeks.

When a ladder game is started, the active player will be matched with another player’s Ladder Squad, and the battle will take place fully automatically. When a battle is completed, the active player will either earn Ladder Points for winning, or they lose Ladder Points for losing. The player of the Idle Ladder Squad won’t have a Ladder Point change. Player will be penalized Ladder points for not participating in Ladder Games after a certain period of time.

At the end of each season, token rewards will be awarded to players based on their League standings.

Tournaments

Tournaments are separate events which will take place on open platforms and will have Special Rewards. This game mode will be focused on Collection, Evolution, and Strategy.

Players can sign up for Tournaments for a token-based entry fee. The Tournaments will have a fixed timetable based on how many players have signed up.

Once the tournament begins, all participants will be matched in pairs. The Tournament format is knockout through an auto-battle between matched players, with the winners advancing to the next round.

Rewards will be awarded to the players based on how many rounds they progressed through, with the Champion receiving the best reward.

Social PvP

A social type of PvP gaming experience initiated by the users themselves. Each user can bind their social account to the SOMO game account. SOMO players can initiate a PvP game by clicking the social link of other players. The squad for this game mode needs to be preset, and the level progression of the squad will be reset to 1 when battling. There should be built-in functionality to allow the battles to be streamed or shared to social media.

Guild Raids

Join forces with other SOMO trainers and form a guild. Work together to tackle tough challenges, raid rival guilds, and earn exclusive rewards. The guild system adds a new layer of depth to the game, encouraging cooperation, strategy, and social interaction.

Player guilds that don't have Guild Territory occupied can raid other guilds that have occupied Guild Territories in certain time windows. If they win, they will capture the territory and start to get benefits out of it.

Guild Raid will be real-time battles between the SOMO squads of the opponent guilds, where the result of the Guild Raid is determined by the collective results of all individual squad battles.
