Gears and Artifacts: Enhance Your SOMOs

No player is complete without their trusty equipment. In SOMO, you can craft, discover, and equip your SOMOs with powerful gear and artifacts. Each piece of gear offers unique bonuses and abilities, allowing you to tailor your SOMOs to your playstyle. Artifacts, on the other hand, provide a touch of magic, granting your SOMOs special powers that can turn the tide of battle.

SOMOs can equip different types of Gear, including:

  • Weapons

  • Armor

  • Head Gear

This Gear can be acquired through Loot boxes (which drop basic Gear) or advanced Gear which can be crafted by players in certain Facilities on Land. Some Gear can be equipped by all SOMOs while there will also be exclusive Gear that can only be equipped by specific Classes, Evolve Tiers, Affinity Types of SOMOs.

Infinity Gear vs Chrono Gear

Gear can be NFT (Infinity Gear) or non-NFT (Chrono Gear) when first found and/or crafted based on the source of acquisition. Chrono Gear has an irreversible durability which is consumed during Battle, resulting in the Gear being destroyed when it reaches 0. Infinity Gear will be repairable to restore durability. Chrono Gear can be converted to Infinity Gear at a cost in the $SOMO token.

Gear Crafting

In SOMO, players can create Gear by crafting it in special facilities designed for making specific types of Gear. These facilities can be either part of the game's built-in system or owned by individual players or guilds. Each facility has a limited number of crafting spots available.

To make a piece of Gear, players need three things: a blueprint of the Gear, the necessary materials, and the required amount of in-game currency. Players can find blueprints and materials by playing the game or by trading with other players. The type of currency used (either in-game or the $SOMO token) determines whether the crafted Gear will be a Chrono one or an Infinity one.

During the crafting process, players must assign one of their SOMOs to work on creating the Gear. The SOMO's attributes will affect several aspects of the crafting process and the resulting Gear, such as the time it takes to craft, the likelihood of creating a rare piece of Gear, and the alignment of the Gear's attributes.
